Charles Darnay

Do you resemble the characterists of Charles Darnay? Are you honest, loving and respectful? Those are just a few adjectives to describe Darnay. Darnay is very honest and speaks from his mouth. He will share anything and everything about how he truly feels and what he is hiding. He says " My present name though but slightly changed from my mother's,is not, as you will remember, my own. I wish to tell you what that is and why I am in England". This quote shows him telling the truth to Doctor Manette. He shows his honestly with this quote because he didn't lie and is giving the straight out truth. A lot of people have a hard time telling the truth no matter the circumstances. Charles is also loving. I think Charles Darnay has a big heart. In the novel, Darnay confesses his love for Lucie Manette. He says " It is a tone or fervent admiration, true homage and deep love." This quote shows how deeply in love he is and how strong it is.  "He had loved Lucie Manette from the hour of his danger." By saying this, he means that he has always loved Lucie and will never stop loving her. Lastly, he is very respectful. After he confessed his love to Lucie to Dr Manette he asked for approval. That is very respectful to do in my opinion. "It would be in generous to affect not to know that your self denial is to be referred to your consideration for her father. Her father thanks you." This proves that he wouldn't feel happy with himself if he didn't get approval by her father. He would feel very quilty if Dr Manette didn't like them together. In conclusion, Charles Darnay is good man with the important characteristics of honesty, respectfulness, and to be loving.
